June 12, 1898 this is the day that we celebrate Independence Day. We, Filipinos celebrate it annually on June 12. This is one of the most significant dates in the Philippine history. Independence Day is a great day for us. We celebrate Independence Day to show our enduring love for the day when we gained freedom. It is also the way of showing or expressing devotion to and vigorous support to our country. This day reminds us of the sacrifices of our heroes or fighters. We got freedom because of our unified strength. This is the day when many people including government officials, employees, and students participate in parades. This was declared as a national holiday and all schools and offices were closed. We celebrated it with excitement. Students also make flags and hung them everywhere. Students and teachers in schools also sung the National Anthem with respect to the song and to the National Flag. What if they (the heroes) didn't gained freedom? What will happen to our country? Without our beloved heroes there was no peace today. Without them maybe we are already suffering.

As a student, we should respect and let us not forget all of the sacrifices of our heroes or fighters because they are the one who fight for freedom. We should join our hands for our economic development and strive hard to make this great country more productive. And if everytime we sung the National Anthem we should not disrespect it, instead we should participate.
